Shea and Todd planned to get married in early May of 2020. With coronavirus shutdowns, they postponed their celebration and finally tied the knot at the end of June on a hot day in this sweet mid-summer backyard wedding. Despite the hot weather, it was such a beautiful ceremony and a true celebration of love and family.
Shea got ready in a guesthouse with all her bridesmaids and Todd’s daughter, Ava. Shea was emotional as she got ready, and it was so clear that having Ava there with her was incredibly special for both of them. On a day that’s already so full of strong emotions, this strong family element and how important it was that Ava played a big part in their wedding was so special and a privilege for me to capture. The moments where Shea revealed her dress to the bridal party and Ava was one of the highlights from the whole day!
Todd and the guys hung out in a parlor at the same time, relaxing and playing chess. They were really happy and excited as they got ready and the ceremony drew closer.
It was really important to Shea to have a first look with her dad before the wedding, and it was another amazing moment where that strong family love was just so evident. Her dad was so excited to see her!
The ceremony took place a few hours before sunset with their closest friends and family present. It was a really emotional ceremony for them all, as this new family was coming together and Shea and Todd reflected on everything they had been through to get to this day. In the midst of the pandemic, which was full of so much uncertainty and fear, being able to hold this celebration was so special for everyone.
Shea and Todd had a joyous reception into the night, which was so much fun and lighthearted! Just being able to gather together to celebrate these two amidst a pandemic made everyone so full of joy and dance! It was a pleasure to get to witness this day with Shea and Todd as they celebrated starting this new chapter together!
