It was a beautiful sunny day and 100 of Megan and Zack’s closest friends and family drove and flew in from all over to see them get married in this picturesque hillside Pigeon Forge wedding. The ceremony and reception were held at The Magnolia, a beautiful spot in the Smoky Mountains with the most amazing views. Megan and Zack’s first plan was to get married in Jamaica, but once the pandemic started, they were forced to cancel that plan and start with something new. I’ve known this couple for years, and was so honored to be the one to capture this amazing day for them.
Megan and Zack didn’t do a first look before the ceremony, choosing instead to share that moment with everyone they loved. It was so special because Zack’s reaction to seeing his soon-to-be wife walking down the aisle was so sweet! There was a lot of laughter during the ceremony, and so much joy that everyone shared about being able to be together for this celebration even though it wasn’t the original plan. Megan told me later that she couldn’t have imagined having her wedding in Jamaica; everything had fallen into place so perfectly in Tennessee, and seeing everyone from our hometowns come out to share in this with her and Zack was the most perfect day she could have imagined.
After the ceremony, I caught the most magical photos of Megan and Zack during the sunset. It’s always good to take a few moments to yourselves on your wedding day; celebrating with all your loved ones is perfect, but taking a minute or two to just be with each other is priceless.
During the reception, Megan’s bridesmaid Paige revealed the sweetest story about how Megan and Zack used to play house when they were kids, pretending to be husband and wife. Now, seeing them get to live out that childhood game in real life was so sweet, almost like a fairytale. It was one of those stories that really makes you believe in “meant to be.”
But of course, then it was time to party! These families are huge dancers and love to have fun, so this reception was awesome! It lasted hours and hours, and it didn’t take long for everyone to be up and grooving to the music. Megan’s bridal party put together a playlist of Megan and Zack’s favorite songs and choreographed a dance to really get everyone moving and having a great time!
