Planning your New Orleans wedding? If you’re thinking you may want to elope at the Arts Estuary in New Orleans, these photos are sure to convince you. This sweet couple did their New Orleans elopement the right way – they chose two separate venues for a variety of special photos of their big day.
These two lovebirds shared their first look at the historic Marigny Opera House, a gorgeous former Catholic Church in the Faubourg Marigny neighborhood of the city. The bride stunned in her mermaid dress with a long train and veil to match.
Next, they headed to their ceremony location a stone’s throw away at the Arts Estuary on Elysian Fields.
The Arts Estuary is an outdoor wedding venue in the heart of New Orleans, located right next to one of New Orleans’ favorite independent book stores Baldwin & Co. This lush green space was transformed into the most romantic backdrop with the help of the talented local florists at Pistil and Stamen. The floral arch and touches of color throughout the venue and in the bride’s bouquet made capturing gorgeous photos light work.
When the sun went down, the string lights lit up, casting a glow on the happy newlyweds. The bride opted for a costume change into a shorter and much more sparkly ensemble. The couple cut the cake, tore up the dance floor and lit up sparklers surrounded by family and friends.
What can I say, I’m partial to this new trend of small, intimate elopements with your people. If you’re planning to elope in New Orleans, get in touch.
