Gentry and Lawrie’s French Quarter Wedding Chapel elopement almost didn’t happen. Securing a date for these two proved difficult. Lawrie hails from London and needed a visa to get to the U.S.
We were able to book their wedding date two weeks before the ceremony, and Lawrie arrived days before their July 25 wedding date. It was a close call!
I met up with Gentry, from Tulsa, and Lawrie at their AirBnb on Race street. The pink exterior and the pink vibes inside worked perfectly with her dress from ASOS, and we grabbed some pictures as the couple put on their finishing touches. Along with her floral gown, Gentry rocked one of her grandma’s rings, a green and orange family heirloom that paired perfectly with her look.
The lovebirds hopped in my car, and we headed to the quirky French Quarter Wedding Chapel so they could say “I do.” The ceremony was sweet and intimate, just me and the officiant there to witness it.
Following the ceremony, we walked around the French Quarter shooting some photos and searching for a cocktail. Many of my go-to spots were packed due to a convention in town. But, we had luck grabbing drinks and a few photos at the Chandelier Bar in the Four Seasons.
Altogether, we spent about two to three hours together. Then, I walked the couple down to French Quarter favorite Sylvain where they were having a celebratory dinner that night. I’m so happy with how the digital and film images turned out, plus all the photos we were able to capture in such a short amount of time.
