I can’t stop smiling at these photos from Mackenzie and Dom’s record shop engagement session right here in New Orleans. It’s always so much fun when a couple chooses a more unique location that reflects their relationship for a session.
I know Mackenzie and Dom from my hometown. We would see each other at the same concerts and music festivals and struck up a friendship. I was so excited when they asked me to capture their love.
Mackenzie wanted to do something a little different for her engagement session. We met up at The Chloe hotel for some drinks to beat the heat and basically had the whole place to ourselves. I love that she chose an outfit to match her personality rather than playing it safe in neutrals. I’m always on board to break the rules!
Next, we did an outfit change and headed to Euclid Records in the Bywater, the obvious choice for these two music lovers. Incorporating your interests into your engagement shoot always results in cool images. There’s nothing wrong with choosing somewhere like a park for your session, but I loved working with all the colors and textures at this record shop engagement session.
